This Sunday we are gathering for worship at 10am via zoom. Here we seek to create organic, authentic space for worship together. This week we are diving into the book of Job to explore the question of why bad things happen to good people.

Wondering questions

  • When unexpected suffering happens, do people try and rationalise this to you, or do you seek find the ‘reason’ for suffering? How would it be to put aside the ‘why’ question?
  • Can you imagine focusing on ‘how is God with me in this?’ and ‘how am I going to be in this with myself, others and God?’
  • Can you imagine becoming like a child, demanding towards God and dependent upon God, in both times of joy and times of suffering?
